It’s been a while since I wrote a post about Lego sets, so I thought I would write a new one. This time, I’m focusing on superheroes. I thought about separating this category into two posts for DC and Marvel, but it looks like there are more Marvel Lego sets and not as many DC. So, this post will combine the two franchises. Please remember that “best” lists are always based on opinion. There are going to be other great choices that aren’t mentioned. With that being said, here are the 8 best superhero Lego sets.

Avengers Tower

The name of each of these superhero Lego sets pretty much gives away what it is. This is a 35.5-inch Lego set of the Avengers Tower. It comes with 5,201 pieces to build the whole tower from top to bottom as well as inside the building. You’ll also get 31 mini figures, including Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, and all the other Avengers.

The set is marketed for ages 18 and up. It comes with a lot of detail, enough to recreate scenes inside the tower from the Avengers movie. There are also other accessories you’ll get, like Mjölnir and the Tesseract.

Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City

Batman: The Animated Series is one of the best Batman cartoons out there. This 4,210-piece set lets you recreate the iconic backdrop of Gotham City from the cartoon. You’ll start with a Lego board that you can attach pieces to to create the city’s skyline. It also has 15 removable panels for Wayne Manor, the Batcave, Arkham Asylum, and more.

It also comes with 4 figures, including Batman, Harley Quinn, the Joker, and Catwoman, plus a Batmobile and Batwing. The other great thing about this set is that you can either hang it on the wall when you are done or use the stand to display it.

Spider-Man’s Mask

This superhero Lego set is a model of Spider-Man’s mask, just as its name suggests. It’s a bit smaller than the other sets on this list, with only 487 pieces, but it’s still for ages 18 and up. It doesn’t come with any mini figures, but it’s specifically created to be put on display.

The mask sits on a stand with a nameplate, so you can display it anywhere you want once you’re finished building it. It stands over 7.5 inches tall, so it’s just right for adding it to shelves, gaming desks, or wherever you’d want to display it.

Infinity Gauntlet

This is another Marvel Lego set perfect for display. The Infinity Gauntlet from Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame has its own stand just like the Spider-Man mask above does. It’s also for 18+ and comes with 590 Lego pieces.

It’s a bit bigger than the Spider-Man mask, measuring 12.5 inches in height, but still a good size to be able to display in different places. It even has moveable fingers so you can switch up the pose anytime you want.

Batman: The Classic TV Series Batmobile

This 1,822-piece set is a model of the Batmobile from the 1966 Batman TV show starring Adam West. It comes with an information plate you can use if you choose to display the Lego set and a 1966-style Batman minifigure.

It’s made as a collectible for adults with authentic decorations and details, along with rotating wheels and a truck that you can open that holds the Bat-Computer. Unfortunately, the Batman figure can’t fit into the car. However, he does have his own platform to stand on while he holds up his Batarang to throw.

The Avengers Helicarrier

The Avengers Helicarrier is another model set with its own stand for display. It’s for ages 18 and up and comes with 509 pieces to build a full Helicarrier from the first two Avengers movies.

It’s over 13 inches long and even has all the detailed markings you’d expect on the runway. Once you’re finished building it, it’s another set that’s intended to be kept built and put on display anywhere you’d want. It also has a nameplate on the stand like the Infinity Gauntlet and Spider-Man’s mask.

X-men: The X Mansion

This 3,093-piece superhero Lego set is another full building set like the Avengers Tower I mentioned earlier on this list. It’s over 16 inches wide and comes with all the inner and outer detail of the X Mansion, including full rooms like classrooms, a library, and Cerebro.

You’ll also get 10 minifigures of the X-Men, including Rogue (my favorite), Storm, Cyclops, Professor X, Wolverine, and more. There’s also a buildable Sentinel figure. There are interactive features to this mansion, but you can also just display your work after you’re finished building. And yes, they even made it so you can recreate the iconic Wolverine crush meme.

Daily Bugle

This last Lego set on the list is another full building, the Daily Bugle, from Spider-Man. It’s 3,789 pieces and stands over 32 inches tall, so this one’s pretty big. Just as with the other buildings on this list, there’s detail outside and inside the building, including J. Jonah Jameson’s office.

It also comes with 25 minifigures, including Spider-Man, of course, and Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, and more. It’s a bit bigger than most of the others on this list, but it’s still intended to be built and displayed, whether that be in your home or office, wherever you’d like to put it and have the appropriate room.

Whether you’re a DC fan, a Marvel fan, or both, these superhero Lego sets are sure to interest you. And all of them are great for display once you’ve finished building them too.
