The Mandalorian: Season 2 picks up where the first season left off. The mandalorian, or Din Djarin, and the young child Star Wars fans dubbed Baby Yoda continue their adventures throughout the Star Wars galaxy. After being told that the power the child can use is known as the Force, which was used by the Jedi, Mando sets out to find a Jedi who can take care of Grogu.

This season is much like the first one and is very enjoyable to watch. It still has the same feel as the first one, which is much like a western, and I really enjoy it. Honestly, I don’t even like actual westerns that much, but for some reason that I can’t explain, I really like that vibe that comes from this series.

It’s also nice to see Mando grow into his role of guardian to Groju more. The series started with him being a quiet, lone wolf type character, but it’s clear he’s starting to “come out of his shell” a bit. He’s talking a little more and, surprisingly, even has some pretty funny lines.

He’s clearly growing closer to Grogu and cares about him. It’s cute to watch, and I enjoy seeing their bond grow stronger. And of course, Baby Yoda, who we finally find out is actually named Grogu in this season, is adorable. I already bought myself a Pop figure of him, and my brother even got me a crochet plush of him too. It’s super cute, and I love it.

I think what really makes this series, and in turn, this season, really stand out is Mando and Grogu themselves, but the story is also entertaining and well written. Other characters are interesting and fit well into the story. And I love that we get to see a certain character in live action that we’ve only seen in cartoons so far.

It’s a series that I just wanted to keep watching, even when I needed to stop. I wanted to know what would happen in the next episode and see Mando and Grogu together more. I worried about Grogu anytime he might have been in danger. And I loved how cool Din Djarin was sometimes while he was fighting.

Everything I said about this series in my review of the first season is still true. The sets and costumes still look great. I also found out that many of the ships are models and not CGI, which is awesome because it makes everything look so good. I’m so glad to see some practical effects in a series again after CGI has gotten so overused nowadays.

I also have to give a shout-out to the music. It’s the same theme song as the first one, but I don’t recall mentioning how good it is. The main theme song is really catchy, and I always found myself humming along when it would play. It fits really well into the Star Wars world while still being its own thing.

I enjoyed watching this season. Honestly, have no obvious negatives that I can really think of off the top of my head for this season. Each episode was interesting and compels you to watch more. The acting and dialogue are great. This is especially true considering Din Djarin never takes off his helmet but still ends up likeable and relatable.

The Mandalorian: Season 2 is a continuation of everything good from the first season. I really enjoyed watching it, especially getting to see Mando and Grogu grow closer to each other. Their growing bond is really what makes this series. Plus, the cool western feel and well-written story really enhance the experience. The mandalorian is a cool character, and watching him continue his journey with Grogu is fun. I definitely recommend watching it.
