Shirayuki is an herbalist whose stunning red hair attracts Tanbarun’s arrogant prince, Raji Shenazard, who wishes to marry her. Shirayuki, after refusing to become his concubine, leaves the country to get away from him. Along the way, she encounters Zen Wistalia, the prince of Clarines, a neighboring nation. When Zen bites into a poisoned apple Prince Raji sent to capture Shirayuki, she uses herbs to treat him. Shirayuki then agrees to accompany Zen to Clarines, where she will begin her new life as a royal court apothecary.
