Well, it’s time for the last Weekly Recommendations of the year. This is a post where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment for you. Why? Because it’s nice to get into something every once in a while. These could be of anime, video games, comics, board games, movies, or other similar forms of media. They might also vary in genre, themes, intended audience, and age.

My Farm by the Palace

Hazel Mayfield is sent to live with the Martins as a kid. There, she falls in love with country life and decides to have her own farm someday. Eleven years later, her grandfather gives her the deed to a plot of land in the capital. There she begins her dream of being a farmer. However, her new farm ends up being next to the imperial palace, and the emperor wants the land.

The Rising: A Novel (The Rising, 1)

Alex Chin is a popular high school football player. Samantha Dixon, his tutor, is at the top of her class and wants to turn her NASA internship into a profession. Alex is in the hospital following a football injury, and his CT scan reveals abnormal results. After his doctor is killed, he believes he is being pursued. Alex runs, urging Samantha not to follow, but she resists, particularly after learning that Alex’s adopted parents are dead. The two race against the clock to get ahead of Alex’s pursuers and figure out why they are chasing him. However, the cause appears to be tied to his background and his birth parents, whom he is unaware of, and a secret that his adopted parents died to protect.

Interstellar

In the future, everyone on Earth is struggling to survive due to a global famine caused by blight. A group of astronauts travel through a wormhole in search of a hospitable new planet where humanity may be able to establish a new home.
