Weekly Recommendations is a post I write each Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These can be anime, comics, video games, movies, or any other similar forms of entertainment. They might also vary in genres, themes, intended audience, and age of release.

Happily Ever Afterwards

  • Webtoon: 89 Episodes
  • Fantasy, Romance, Isekai

Peony reincarnates as the princess of the Kingdom of Garten in her favorite romance novel, “The Song of Askar.” With her memories intact, she is determined to marry her favorite character, Richt. He’s the second male lead and former second prince of the Fairspren Empire, who was banished for treason at the end of the book.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

  • Cartoon: 47 episodes
  • Action, Adventure, Science fiction

Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the events of Order 66 and focuses on Clone Force 99, often known as the Bad Batch. These clones have genetic mutations that make them different from the rest of the clones. When it’s revealed that they can resist the programming for Order 66, they must flee Kamino with a young female clone named Omega to protect her and themselves from the emerging Empire. They act as mercenaries, taking on odd jobs for money.

Ouran High School Host Club

  • Anime: 26 episodes
  • Comedy, Romance

Haruhi Fujioka is a smart girl from a poor family who has recently enrolled in Ouran Academy, a prestigious school for the wealthy. She enters a host club and accidentally destroys an expensive vase, but she cannot afford to replace it. The club’s president forces her to work as a host to clear her debt after mistaking her for a man because she wears a male uniform and has short hair. Despite eventually learning of her true gender, the club and Haruhi maintain the ruse so she can repay her debt as a host.
