It’s time for my Weekly Recommendations post, where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment for you. These could be anime, comics, video games, movies, or any other similar form of entertainment. They might also vary in intended audience, age, genre, and theme.
The Apothecary Diaries

Maomao is a low-ranking servant in the court of the emperor. She uses her skills as a pharmacist she learned while growing up in the red-light district to help the emperor’s two young children when she finds out they are ill. Jinshi, an important eunuch, finds out about her talents despite her wish to hide them. After taking her to the inner court, Jinshi asks for her help with other problems that pop up in the palace.
The Rain of Teardrops and Serenade

Katagiri Hina is an ordinary high schooler who time travels to the year 1907. She meets a man named Hongo Takaaki, who mistakes her for his fiancée, with whom she shares a strong resemblance. After meeting this fiancée, Hina pretends to be her so she can find a way to travel back to her time.
Wanna be Friends?
- Webtoon: Ongoing
- Comedy, Romance
Sienna struggles to make friends, but a new year and a new school give her hope that she’ll finally find some. But the first person she meets is Ian, the school’s most popular boy, who is known to be closed-off and difficult to befriend. Still, Sienna is determined to become his friend. It turns out there’s more to him than most know, and there’s a reason for his standoffish behavior.
