Weekly Recommendations is a post I publish each Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These can be anime, comics, video games, movies, board games, and any other similar forms of entertainment. They might also vary in genre, theme, intended audience, and age.

RWBY: Combat Ready

  • Board Game
  • Deck Building, Dice Roll, Cooperative

Play as one of five RWBY characters (Ruby, Yang, Blake, Weiss, or Penny) to stop the villain from carrying out his or her evil scheme. The villains include Torchwich, Cinder, and Adam, with more characters, both good and evil, available through expansion packs. Two to four players work together, rotating between fighting the main villain and dealing with side villains or completing a side quest. There are many scenarios to choose from and create, and campaigns transfer over to the next game, allowing you to maintain your stats from the previous game. Read my review of the game for more information.

Saga of Tonya the Evil

  • Anime: 12 episodes
  • Action, Fantasy, Isekai

Tanya Degurechaff, nicknamed the “Devil of the Rhine,” is a notorious child soldier known for her cruelty and expertise. However, she’s really the reincarnation of a man who remembers his previous life after challenging Being X, which resulted in his reincarnation as a little girl in a magical world at war. Despite Being X’s efforts to make Tonya’s life unpleasant, Tonya remains resolute in her goal to reject Being X and progress in the military. While she wishes to live in peace, Being X keeps hindering her, and her military prowess has helped the Empire become one of history’s most powerful nations.

Morgana and Oz

  • Webtoon: Ongoing
  • Fantasy, Romance

Morgana belongs to a family of witches, and Oz is part of a rival clan of vampires. When the two groups attempt to get along at a dinner, everything goes wrong, and each side is blaming the other. But there’s more going on than any of them know, and Morgana and Oz decide to work together to unravel the mysteries and stop their families from going to war. Check out my review of Morgana and Oz as well.
