Check out today’s Weekly Recommendations, a post where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These recommendations could be of anime, comics, video games, movies, board games, or any other similar form of media. They might also vary in intended audience, age, genre, and themes.

For My Derelict Favorite

Hestia wakes up as a character in her favorite story, excited to watch her favorite characters play their roles. She believes that after the story ends, she will be able to return to her original world. To her shock, when it’s all over, she doesn’t return home, and her favorite character dies. However, Hestia travels back to the end of the novel, and this time, she’s saving her favorite character.

Aoharu X Machine Gun

Hotaru Tachibana, the student council president, is commonly mistaken for a boy due to her appearance. When a host defrauds her friend, Hotaru confronts him, but he turns out to be her neighbor, Masamune Matsuoka. To address the issue, he suggests playing a “survival game,” similar to a war game but with fake weapons. She eventually loses and is forced to join Masamune’s team, “Toy Gun Gun.” Over time, she grows to love the game and shares the team’s ambition to be the greatest in Japan. However, Masasume only allows men on his team. Now, she has to hide her real gender if she wants to continue to play with them.

Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun

Chiyo Sakura is a high school student who has a crush on her classmate Umetarou Nozaki. When she tries to confess to him, he mistakes her for a fan and gives her his autograph. She learns that Nozaki is a well-known shoujo mangaka, and after several instances of misunderstandings by an ignorant Nozaki, Chiyo ends up working as his assistant. Still, she wants to help her crush with his manga and hopes to express her feelings to him in the process.
