Weekly Recommendations is a post I write each Friday where I recommend three different kinds of entertainment. These could be anime, comics, video games, board games, movies, or any other similar form of entertainment. They might also vary in intended audience, age, genre, and themes.

Lycoris Recoil

The counterterrorism organization Direct Attack (DA) trains orphaned girls as assassins through its “Lycoris” program. Despite being a Lycoris, Takina Inoue ignores her orders during a hostage situation. DA then transports her to LycoReco, which is masquerading as a coffee shop. Chisato Nichikigi, a renowned Lycoris prodigy and Takina’s new partner, takes her on jobs to help others in need. Chisato refuses to kill people, despite the fact that it’s what they are trained to do. Takina wants to return to DA, but Chisato wants to show her that there is more to life than killing.

Kim Possible

  • Cartoon Series: 87 episodes
  • Action, Adventure, Comedy
  • Watch on Amazon

Kim Possible is a talented high school student and cheerleader who fights crime with her best friend, Ron Stoppable, his pet nude mole rat, Rufus, and Wade, a 10-year-old computer wiz who supports them remotely. They travel the world as Team Possible, helping people in need while facing enemies such as the evil mad scientist Dr. Drakken and his supervillain sidekick, Shego.

I Stole the First Ranker’s Soul

Son Mo-Ah lives in a world plagued by dungeons full of dangerous monsters. Hunters use unique abilities to defeat these monsters and steal their loot, similar to video games. Son Mo-Ah awakens one day as a hunter in a dungeon that appears in her bedroom, but her main skill is item gathering. When she finds herself in another dungeon, she narrowly avoids death thanks to the number one hunter, Seo Ji-Han, but her interaction with him means she will no longer be able to live in peace and will have to confront a variety of other terrifying monsters and people.
