The later novels in the series introduce a different main character, but the plot continues to focus on Nightshade’s supernatural activities.

Then the egg she got from the market hatches and reveals the dragon of the story. The dragon is supposed to be the heroine’s pet, but it suddenly wishes to imprint on Eleanor. To make her situation worse, the dragon egg was stolen from the royal castle, and the main male character of the novel believes Eleanor is the culprit.
