Nanami Momozono is a high school student left homeless due to her absentee father’s debt. While out on the street, Nanami saves a man being harassed by a dog. They discuss her situation, and he offers her his home. That home turns out to be a shrine to the land god, Mikage. Nanami actually saved Mikage himself, and he’s chosen Nanami to fill in for him while he’s away. With the help of two shrine spirits and an unwilling fox familiar named Tomoe, Nanami must learn how to be a proper deity and take care of the shrine in Mikage’s absence.
